RSe has also developed a benefits calculator specifically designed for deployments of electronic document and record management systems (EDRMS). It provides a simple approach to inputting data and assumptions and gives clear, yet insightful, outputs around the three main benefits of EDRMS:

• Operational Documentation Management e.g. shorter retrieval times and lower requirement for office space
• Tactical Productivity e.g. enabling flexible working
• Strategic Insight e.g. better business intelligence driving a reduction in risk

Results are presented in both a headline and detailed format. The headline format is graphical and shows the benefits that will be accrued over five years (split between cashable and non-cashable and the three main types of benefit). The detailed format provides a financial breakdown to ensure that audiences can understand and ‘dig into' the numbers if they need to. This is particularly useful if you wish to include the benefits calculated in a ROI analysis.  The tool was developed in conjunction with the West London Alliance authorities and uses the same principles as the market leading ROI tool developed by RSe with LB Brent.
